Monasterio San Jerónimo de Cotalba
The Royal Monastery of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba, located in the municipality of Alfauir (Valencia), stands on the Cotalba hillock in a privileged natural setting, some eight kilometres from Gandía.
It is one of the most remarkable and best preserved monastic constructions in the Valencian Community, a fact that is accentuated by the stylistic diversity of its ensemble which, starting from a primitive medieval Gothic structure in the 14th century, develops fundamentally from the 16th to the 18th century and encompasses five different styles: Mudejar, Valencian Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical.
This beautiful monument, which in the past belonged to the Hieronymites, has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) since 1994.
Its historic spaces, cloisters and romantic gardens make it an unrivalled venue for holding events.
The uniqueness of the monastery allows events to be held both in large outdoor spaces such as its romantic gardens of 14,000 m², as well as in historic interior spaces.
The Space
The Cloister: It is the central hub around which the other rooms are distributed. With its Mudejar style and surrounded by orange trees, it is a very versatile space for hosting cocktails, meals/dinners, or even transforming it into a true party area.
The Church: Magnificent and steeped in history, with high ceilings and frescoes. An incomparable setting for ceremonies, lunches, or dinners, and/or dancing. It has a capacity for over 200 people for a banquet, and up to 400 in cocktail format.
Romantic Gardens: A space of great landscaping interest, with lush trees, ponds, and bridges. It offers a dreamlike environment for all our clients, whether for a ceremony, a cocktail, a meal under the green trees, or a dinner by the calm ponds.
Refectory - Hall of Arms: This area provides access to the garden from the Monastery building, offering a setting of beauty and history for an intimate banquet, or even a ceremony in the winter months.
Upper Terrace: Cozy, romantic, and bohemian, with views of the main garden. It’s the ideal place to dance and share moments with your closest loved ones.
